Brooke Gassiot's work delves into the intricate ways time weaves through the female body and nature. From the metamorphic moment of first menarche to the profound act of childbirth, from the resilience found in battling breast cancer to the introspection in aging, Gassiot's creations resonate with the universal and intimate facets of womanhood. Through painting, sculpture and video, she illuminates women's often unseen realities, inviting contemplation and reflection. In a world where female experiences can be dismissed, Gassiot's art encourages us to recognize and contemplate the countless experiences of living in a woman's skin.
